Club training starts:

Don’t forget to train over the holidays, or you will be behind when we start back. First grading will be in April, which isn’t far away.

 

1^st February

Interclub tournament challenge:

We have been challenged by the Hwa Rang clubs, and possibly the Tauranga Academy Clubs as well, to a tournament. You are all entering! Even if it’s just for patterns, cost to be advised!

These interclub tournaments are a great way to try your sparring out in a friendly, very little pressure environment. Trainee Referee’s and Judges will also be practising, hence the low contact level with sparring, and yes, you can learn this skill as well. I encourage you all to try sparring in this environment and have fun.

 

27^th February to 1^st March

Midlands Regional Camp:

This is our annual regional camp, similar to the kids camp, but with all ranks and ages. Click here to download the entry form. I will be there as will Mr Skedgwell and the regions other instructors. This is a great opportunity to learn from the instructors that you don’t see too often, such as Mr Cale from Gisborne.
